High School Diploma Exam Scheduled on 27-28 December

Phnom Penh: This year’s high school diploma exam will finally take place on 27-28 December. As per the health and safety guidelines released by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, all students are required to sanitize their hands, undergo a temperature check and wear a mask before entering the exam center.

The Ministry has ensured that all designated exam centers will have a team of doctors on duty making sure that the health and safety measures are being followed in order to safeguard all students, invigilators and committee members from illness.

Any students showing symptoms or with a temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius will be required to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test. If found positive, the student will not be allowed to take the exam.

If a student has a recorded temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius, they will be required to wait and take a second temperature check. If the second temperature check is still above 37.5 degrees Celsius, then the student must take a COVID-19 test. However, if the second temperature check is lower, the Ministry of Education has made it so that these students will still be allowed to take the exam in a separate room.

Additionally, all students that have been in recent contact with a positive case but do not show any symptoms themselves will be allowed to take the exam also in a separate room.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Ros Soveacha, has confirmed that students who are absent in one or more exam sessions will be disqualified from receiving their diploma.
